Scrap Metal Value

Most people will be proud on how many items they have and metals they own.

In most metal is referred as:
  • Scrap: Scrap metal
  • Rec   : Reclaim metal
  • Ref    :  Refined metal
They are defined as money in Team Fortress 2 and the accepted form of payment to many. But, Items such as: keys, hats and weapons are for higher level of trading.

To make your weapons into a fair trading value. You must craft them.
To craft a weapon, simply follow this steps:

  1. Go to the "ITEMS" bar under customize. you can also access this ingame by press the "Esc".
  2. Now  click the "CRAFTING" icon which is an icon of an anvil and hammer.
  3. The top option gives the option lets you combine two weapons of the same class to make them 1 scrap metal. There options below which we will discuss tomorrow.
  4. Once you click that. Another interface open on the right side that prompt you to pick 2 weapons creates 1 scrap.
  5. Now pick the weapon you want to craft, like this Scottish resistance. I rarely used the Scottish resistance to it serve us as a great example.
  6. Now pick the weapon with the same class. As in this case, an eyelander. its the same weapon that a demoman used in the loadout
  7. Now you are ready to craft the weapons into a scrap metal. But check if the weapons is an achievement weapon, achievement weapon have an "untradeable" stat attach to it.
  8. Once you click the "CRAFT!" bar, this small loading bar will appear.
  9. This is the end product of your crafting: a scrap metal.

Its advisable that you don't craft any weapon that have a "untradeable" stat since it will made the metal you are crafting untradeable.

Scrap metal has many uses. For instance:

  1. You could buy  your favorite or desired weapon  for a scrap or two.
  2. Make a weapon such as the original which require a scrap.
  3. You can scrapbank(will be discuss later by Viktor)
Scrap metal may seems a small item in the hand of non-trading player. they actually worth a lot more and and played a big part since the launch of Mann-Conomy Update.
